BINFEN is the second part of Murat Ses' trilogy which began with Automaton.
This album features Tan SES, a talented computer musician and MIDI composer with his
debut track 'Mare Imbrium'.His track gives clues to the third part of the trilogy. More
ambiente, more techno as expected, the 'new' electronic music with Eurasian fugal
elements!
Murat SES, a US Keyboard magazine's Discoveries alumnus with excellent critics, enjoys
airplay in the USA, Canada, Europe, and last but not least in Asia. His traditional
arrangements and compositions from Eurasia on his international debut LP 'Les Danses et
Rythmes de la Turquie d'hier a aujourd'hui' was awarded Grand Prix du Disque by the
Academie Charles Cros in Paris. One of his works found its way into the BBC program of
the legendary DJ, Mr John Peel (1994).
Binfen is dedicated to the forgotten heroes of the aviation history. Binfen (also known as Hezarfen or Hazarfen Ahmet Celebi) was a
courageous scientist who flew with a self-constructed glider over Bosphorus in the 17th
century. Gevheri, Firnas, and Lagari are other important personalities from the mostly
ignored part of the aviation history (the so-called phantastic part). The tracks tell
the story of Binfen (who was exiled to Spain then, after being classified as dangerous
because of his deep knowledge and extraordinary talents), of his dreams, feelings, and
hopes.
In Binfen, Murat displays his impressions of the timeless and boundless context of
civilization, as he did in Automaton.
